Y unny Perez, 36, lives with her family in the Caracas slum of Petare. She earns the equivalent of $12 a month and is typical of many in Venezuela. Her family eats at best one meal a day, having lined up for hours for food or got it from others' trash. She has lost 12 kg in the last six weeks.

Yunny used to support Hugo Chávez but now can't stand his successor Nicolás Maduro. After our live video, Yunny's malnourished nine-year-old son joked that he was on the "Maduro diet."
